Clive Hampson: Managing Director.Managing Director. Set up the company in the summer of 1982. Currently is the named CPC holder for the company and has overall control. When Clive decides to make an appearance his authoritative manner and pleasant telephone skills manage to hide the fact that he would rather be working in his garden than in the office. Holds a Class 1 HGV Licence and is used occasionally should the need arise to ensure customers work is catered for even at short notice (and to get him out of the way). |

Paul Hampson: Director.Director. Joined Hampson Haulage to assist Clive in March 2004, having worked as a driver occasionally since 1997, as and when required. Paul undertakes the everyday running of the company. Paul is also a MRICS qualified general practice surveyor, so why he decided to leave a rewarding career and enter into transport is still a complete mystery. Holds a Class 1 HGV Licence to drive vehicles when the operations manager has under estimated the workload. |

Selina James: Office Manager.Office Manager. Joined in November 1999 as an administrator. Has overall control of the accounts department, personnel and keeps the office under control. She has passed the CPC, and keeps the WTD records for the company. Selina does not undertake any driving for us as she is lethal enough in her Corsa. |

Lee Allen: Operations Manager.Joined the company in November 2008. Lee has a lot of experience in transport, albeit within the bus and coach industry, so if you have any reuirements along the Birmingham bus routes he is very useful. He has passed his class 1 HGV Licence since being with the company and enjoys getting on the road and out of the office when he can. |
Depot
Brian Hall, Eco Truck.Brian is a self employed mechanic who has his own workshop in Cannock and has looked after the Hampson Haulage Vehicle Fleet since July 2009. He specialises in Daf trucks which is useful for us and we are yet to find anything he is unable to diagnose or rectify. |
Drivers
Mohammed Jon: Class 1 HGV Driver.Joined us in July 2006 and in his own words knows everything! He left to join Stobarts in June 2011, but realised the error of his ways and rejoined us in the spring of 2012. He now drives A14HHL on an evening contract run to Sunderland. Jon specialises in big dreams for the future and will one day have an empire of buy to let houses. |
John Groves: Class 2 HGV Driver.John joined us in June 2008 to work on general haulage. His allocated vehicle is A1HHL which is his pride and joy and kept immaculate. I'm not too sure about that flag in the back of the cab though. He is an experienced hand on the hiab which enables him to unload quickly and easily when required. |
Mark Billson: Class 1 HGV Driver.Mark joined us in September 2007 as a class 2 driver but graduated to an articulated vehicle after passing his test at the first attempt. His allocated vehicle was A13HHL, however recently became an additional member of the office team assisting compliance and traffic. Mark spent a number of years in the catering trade as a chef, so never goes hungry on nights out. Mark also has a hiab licence so is very useful as a back up when other hiab drivers are on holiday. |
Phil Taylor: Class 3 HGV Driver.Started in January 2002. Phil loves to be on the road and the longer the distance the happier he is. His allocated vehicle is A11 HHL our small crane which is used for general haulage. Phil spends as much time as he can at Monty's Sandwich Bar on Doranda Way, which seems a perfectly good place as any to us. |
Pete Strawbridge: Class 2 HGV Driver.Pete joined us in December 2007 after working for a few months as a casual when required. Pete has a hiab licence which is utilised on his allocated vehicle A12HHL. Despite living in Coventry and being a graphic designer for the Coventry Evening Telegraph before joining us, Pete is a useful member of the team. |
Paul Whalley: Part time Class 3 LGV Driver.Paul joined us in April 2001 and has now semi retired, he works on an as required basis, usually driving BX02 RTV or Y936KBA. |
Chris Higgins: Class 2 LGV Driver.Chris joined us in August 2007 and was employed by Clive in a lapse moment. Chris has finally settled into working for a living and drives A20HHL on general haulage when his other half lets him. |
David Patterson: Class 1 HGV Driver.David joined us in August 2008, and has recently passed his class1 licence at the first attempt so can be seen driving his allocated truck A19HHL on general haulage. We employed him even though he was an Old Trafford season ticket holder, and despite this affliction he seems to be a reliable and genuine guy. |
Peter Waddams: Class 1 HGV Driver.Pete joined us in February 2010 as another old school worker. Despite his advancing years he is adept at all sorts of different work and has earned the nickname Mr Miagi due to his more than passing resemblance to the karate kids mentor. He can be seen pacing the motorways of Britain in his vehicle A17HHL. |
John Claridge: Part time Class 2 HGV Driver.Started in spring 2010, John has quickly become a vocal member of the team, and fancies himself as a bit of a ladies man. If it wasn't for the mullet and looks we may be able to agree. John has a class 2 licence but I'm dubious of how he passed the test if his reversing is anything to go by. John can be seen driving A18HHL on general haulage when on one of his working days. |
Slav Angiyu: Class 1 HGV Driver.Started in Summer 2010, Slav the impaler has a wicked sense of humour. Originally from Russia but has been an English resident for over 10 years, and speaks better English than most of our Brummies. He drives his allocated vehicle A2HHL on general haulage. |
Bill Gloag: Class 1 HGV Driver.Bill joined us for the second time in May 2010, he obviously missed the excellent working conditions at the company. Cost neutral Bill is very useful sorting out bodywork of the vehicles which is helpful as he has managed to put a few marks on his allocated vehicle CXZ1061. |
Nick Price: Class 2 HGV Driver.Nick joined Hampson Haulage in August 2010 and can be seen driving his allocated vehicle A15HHL on general haulage. Ronald is a transport managers dream and a mechanic's nightmare, for his ability to get anywhere quicker than you would have thought possible. |
Matt Edwards: Class 1 HGV Driver.Matt joined us in April 2012 after spending many years driving bus route 50 for WM travel. Luckily for us he saw sense and an opportunity and is now a valuable member of the team. His allocated vehicle is A13 HHL which is used on general haulage. |
Alex Childress: Class 2 HGV Driver.Alex also joined us in April 2012 after paying for his class 2 test. Despite looking too young to drive a car, let alone a lorry Alex has settled in well. He spends most of his time delivering furniture twice the size of him from his allocated vehicle RX06UAM. |
George Berrill: Class 1 HGV Driver.George joined us in October 2012 as a daily back up driver covering holidays and additional work. When in the depot he enjoys passing over his vast knowledge to anyone who will take interest. George usually splits his driving time between MX56MKD and A16HHL. |
